Cloud accounting software provider FreshBooks released the FreshBooks Card Reader, a pocket-sized device for small-business owners to get paid using their mobile device.
The device plugs into an iPhone’s audio jack to process credit card payments quickly, providing full integration with FreshBooks accounting software so invoices and reports are automatically updated as payments are processed. The credit card reader has dual chip-and-swipe capability, EMV security technology designed to protect users from fraud and liability risks.

The credit card reader is supported by FreshBooks’ customer support team and powered by FreshBooks Payments. The reader is compatible with iPhone and iPod touch devices running iOS 8 or newer and the latest version of the FreshBooks iOS app.
