The Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants is attempting to take Monday, April 30 viral, promoting the fourth annual Financial Literacy Social Media Outreach Day by highlighting personal finance resources through its social media channels.

Using Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, the TSCPA is also celebrating the whole of April as Financial Literacy Month in promoting consumer personal finance website www.ValueYour Money.org.

The society’s efforts also include setting up a Texans for Financial Literacy Facebook page, publishing articles about the effort in member newsletters, and positing notices on tscpa.org.

Last year’s social media campaign reached more than 20,000 people, TSCPA reports, and the society anticipates surpassing that this year.
