KPMG to Acquire Oracle Practice from Hackett Group

KPMG has signed an agreement to acquire the Hackett Group’s Oracle enterprise resource planning practice from the strategic advisory and business transformation consulting firm.

The deal promises to expand KPMG’s existing ERP and Oracle consulting services. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close in the near future.

An unspecified number of staffers from the Hackett Group’s Oracle ERP practice will join KPMG’s Enterprise Solutions practice as part of the agreement. “These professionals come from an organization with a strong Oracle implementation reputation and will immediately expand our value proposition,” said KPMG’s U.S. leader for management consulting, Stephen Lis, in a statement. “In addition, KPMG will become the Hackett Group’s preferred provider for Oracle ERP implementation services.”

KPMG’s service line leader for technology Stephen Chase said the transaction complements KPMG’s investments in its business transformation capabilities, further building on the firm’s October 2011 acquisition of Optimum Solutions, an Oracle Platinum Partner (see KPMG Completes Optimum Acquisition). “We remain focused on helping clients use technology to transform key operations, such as human capital management, finance and accounting, tax, business intelligence and supply chain management,” he said.
