CSH Adds J.D. Cloud & Co.

J.D. Cloud & Co. LLP has agreed to merge with Clark Schaefer Hackett. The deal is set to close on July 1.

“J.D. Cloud and CSH are well-matched in many regards, starting with our cultures,” CSH president Carl Coburn said in a statement. “A shared focus on integrity and an innovative approach to exceptional service have enabled both firms to build a loyal client base that values expertise and professionalism.”

Cincinnati shareholder-in-charge John Moster will lead the larger CSH staff, maintaining the role he has held since 2008.

"We are honored that this distinguished group of individuals has joined our firm," said Moster. "J.D. Cloud is well-known for great quality and service in the Greater Cincinnati area and their addition notably enhances the reputation of our firm throughout the region."

Founded in 1913, J.D. Cloud is the oldest accounting firm in Greater Cincinnati. In the coming weeks, J.D. Cloud associates will move into the CSH Cincinnati office located at One East Fourth Street. With their addition, CSH gains additional strengths in a number of core areas including: financial services, manufacturing, not-for-profit, construction and real estate, and employee benefit plan services.

"My associates and I are very excited about this incredible opportunity to join one of the premier firms in the region," said John Lind, managing partner of J.D. Cloud. "This is a win not only for our firm but for our clients who will benefit from the expanded capabilities and depth of a larger organization. We have no doubt this move will enhance service to clients and expand career opportunities for our professionals."
