IRS Fancies Iggy Azalea with a $391,056 Tax Lien

The Internal Revenue Service has filed a $391,056.55 tax lien against singer Iggy Azalea for unpaid taxes from 2014, the year she had the chart-topping hit “Fancy.”

The rapper also had a hit album that same year, “The New Classic,” according to TMZ. The album features the song “Fancy,” which Azalea performed with the British singer Charli XCX. They appeared in a popular music video for the song that parodied the 1995 comedy “Clueless.”

The 25-year-old Australian rapper’s real name is Amethyst Amelia Kelly. Her next album, “Digital Distortion,” is scheduled to be released in June.

On Twitter, she said she was paying off the tax debt on a monthly basis and dismissed the news about the tax lien. "They exaggerate everything. the IRS gave the option to pay them monthly or lump sum. i picked monthly, who wouldnt?" she tweeted.
