Andersen Group Inc., founded by alumni of shuttered accounting firm Arthur Andersen, is planning to publicly file for its IPO as soon as this week, according to people familiar with the matter.

The tax advisory firm is working with Morgan Stanley and UBS Group AG who are leading the planned initial public offering, Bloomberg News has reported. Andersen Group has filed confidentially for a listing, according to an announcement in April.

The filing would set the company up to make its debut as soon as early October, joining a growing group of firms expected to capitalize on investor appetite for stocks in the wake of Wednesday's Federal Reserve interest rate cut.

Deliberations are ongoing and details could change, the people said. A representative for Andersen didn't immediately respond to a request for comment outside normal office hours.

Andersen provides a wide range of tax, valuation, financial advisory and related consulting services to individual and commercial clients, according to its website.
