John Sharbaugh, executive director and CEO of the Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA) and one of Accounting Todays 100 Most Influential People, was recently announced as a 2015-2016 honorary member of the Society. The award is presented to those eligible not for regular TSCPA membership, but have nonetheless distinguished themselves within the profession on a statewide level.

The National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) announced on Thursday that Steven Harris, partner-in-charge of RubinBrowns Entrepreneurial Services Group, was named the new chairman of their Board of Directors. Effective July 1, 2016, Harris will serve a two-year term.
