On the move: A new CFO at Centri

Centri Business Consulting appointed a new chief financial officer, PrimeGlobal launched a member platform; Adams Brown opened a new office in Little Rock; and other firm and personnel news from across the accounting profession.

ILLINOIS

Baker Tilly

Baker Tilly US, Chicago, has entered into a joint venture with India-based Pierian Services to create BT Pierian to expand its complementary workforce. The new venture consists of two entities, one that provides assurance and advisory work, and one that focuses on managed services in tax, client accounting and more.

NORTH CAROLINA

Jon Morton

Jon Morton has joined Forvis as a managing director with the firm's international tax team, focusing on transfer pricing. He is currently based in Charlotte, North Carolina, but prior to joining the firm, he spent more than 15 years with a large international firm, spending much of that time based in London and New York.

PENNSYLVANIA

Christian DeChurch

Christian DeChurch has been appointed chief financial officer of Centri Business Consulting, Philadelphia, taking on the CFO role from Kristen Wik, who has held the position of CFO and chief people officer since 2020, and will now focus exclusively on her role as CPO. Prior to joining Centri, DeChurch served as vice president of finance for Veterinary Practice Partners.

Matthew Legg, CPA, has been named a tax shareholder to lead the international tax practice of Schneider Downs, Pittsburgh. He brings extensive experience in all aspects of international tax strategies, including cross-border structuring and tax due diligence, foreign expansion assistance, foreign tax credit planning and international tax compliance projects. Prior to joining Schneider Downs, he served as the managing director of international tax for a large regional accounting firm.

Now 10 years old, the firm has six partners and 77 employees, and offers a leadership and learning acceleration academy; audit; quality assurance consulting; advisory services: corporate finance; sustainability and ESG advisory and assurance; financial management; and risk advisory.

Talent outsourcing firm SAPRO appointed Sam Shah as executive vice president of global revenue operations. He previously held executive positions at several leading companies.

TEXAS

Ram Srinivasan

Sriram "Ram" Srinivasan has joined Weaver as a partner in its private client services practice in the Dallas office, delivering tax services to high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as their businesses. He brings more than 20 years of experience in tax accounting, including more than a decade with a Big Four firm, and most recently served in tax leadership roles for various North Texas wealth management practices.

The My PrimeGlobal platform

International accounting firm association PrimeGlobal has launched a member-only platform for all levels of professionals from member firms. The platform, My PrimeGlobal, combines a data-led platform with collaboration forums and member content, and offers customized access to knowledge sharing through communities of practice, an expertise-focused firm and people directory, events, insights and learning opportunities.
