On the move: Baker Tilly appoints next MP of tax

The Connecticut Society of CPAs has installed a new board of directors; CohnReznick has established a merger integration and carve-out services practice; and more news from across the accounting profession.

Lynette Stolarzyk was appointed managing partner of tax services at Baker Tilly US, San Francisco, effective June 1. She is succeeding Craig Weaver, who will be retiring after 20 years with the firm.

Mark Li was appointed national technology and blockchain/digital assets assurance leader at Aprio, San Francisco. 

Aliant+ Global Network, Los Angeles, a middle-market global alliance of law firms, announced an expansion to include accounting firms.

The Connecticut Society of CPAs elected and installed its board of directors for the 2024-25 activity year: chair Kevin Lawlor, retired executive vice president and chief operating officer of Fairfield University; chair-elect Mary Manfredi, manager of finance at General Dynamics Electric Boat; treasurer Muhammad Malloy, a tax manager at CohnReznick; secretary Amber Moore, a partner at Goldblatt Bokoff; advisory council chair Eliot Bassin, a partner at Fiondella, Milone & LaSaracina; and members-at-large: Kariann McDougall, senior manager of business enterprise services at Marcum; Rachel Tressy, senior vice president and chief auditor at Voya Financial; and Karen Zeilnhofer, managing director at Deloitte.

The board of trustees of the Financial Accounting Foundation, Norwalk, reappointed David Pesce and Adam Roark to second terms on the Private Company Council, each to serve a three-year term that begins on Jan. 1, 2025, and ends Dec. 31, 2027.
