CANADA

The International Accounting Group and TAG Alliances, Vancouver, added four independent accounting firms: AC Globally | Alvarez, Castillo & Asociados in Peru; Fiduciaire Muller & Associés S.A. in Luxembourg; Anant Bhatt LLP in Kenya; and Vesco Giaretta S.p.a. in Albania.

FLORIDA

Jennifer Gizzi and Michael Eisenberg were admitted as partners in the tax practice at Templeton & Co., West Palm Beach, where they have both worked since 2018.

Kinsey Fields was hired as a senior accountant in the Pensacola office at HHM CPAs.

Andre Chammas was hired as a partner in the private client services practice at CohnReznick, Miami.

ILLINOIS

Marc Chase was hired as private equity practice leader at Grant Thornton, Chicago.

The Illinois CPA Society announced it is hosting its annual education event for accounting and finance professionals, ICPAS Summit, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont Aug. 20-21, 2025, with a pre-conference Quality Management Workshop Aug. 19. More information is available here.

Rebecca Palma, manager in the audit department, and Tiago Gomes, senior staff accountant, at Gray, Gray & Gray, Canton, were elected to the Bentley University Emerging Leaders Advisory Board.

NEW MEXICO

Thomas Miller

Thomas Miller was promoted to principal in the tax services practice to lead the state and local tax group at REDW Advisors & CPAs, Albuquerque.

NEW JERSEY

Sax, Parsippany, announced its annual Sax 4 Miler, which supports the Child Life Department at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, will be taking place Sept. 20 at the firm's headquarters.

NEW YORK

Jerry Ward

Jerry Ward, most recently Long Island assurance leader and greater New York growth markets health tech leader, was named the new Long Island office managing partner at Ernst & Young. In other firm news, Jim Huvane, a principal in the New York City office, was named to the Crain's New York Business 40 Under 40 list.

John Kavanagh was hired as national security director in its risk and compliance services practice at EisnerAmper, New York.

Douglas O'Donnell, former Internal Revenue Service acting commissioner, joined KPMG US as a senior managing director in the Washington national tax practice where he will co-lead the tax controversy and dispute resolution group within the practice. (Read the full story.)
