CALIFORNIA

Tessa O'Keefe was hired as a partner in the tax practice at Weaver, Los Angeles.

Deirdre Cronin was hired as managing director, to lead the sales and purchase agreement advisory practice, at CohnReznick, Los Angeles.

COLORADO

Brandon Powers

Brandon Powers was named partner in the tax practice at Weaver, Denver.

GEORGIA

Matt Pellegrom was hired as an international tax partner at Bennett Thrasher, Atlanta.

ILLINOIS

Phil Whitman, CEO of Whitman Advisory, and Brian Blaha, managing director and senior strategic advisor at Winding River Consulting, were appointed to the board of directors at DSWD Advisory, Chicago.

MASSACHUSETTS

Gray, Gray & Gray, Canton, was ranked No. 46 on The Boston Globe's annual list of New England's Fastest Growing Companies, a recognition based on revenue growth, organic growth and independence between fiscal years 2021-24.

MISSOURI

Megan Knoblauch was named assistant managing partner of RubinBrown, Kansas City, where she will continue to serve as managing partner of the Kansas City office and will work closely with managing partner Steven Harris on firmwide operations oversight.

NEW JERSEY

Joe Caplan

Joe Caplan, a partner at RRBB Advisors and Rosenberg Rich Baker Berman, Wall, was named to the NJBIZ 2026 Leaders in Finance list.

NEW YORK

Gary Wingrove was elected the next global chairman and chief executive officer of KPMG International, for a four-year term effective Oct. 1, 2026. Wingrove, who currently serves as global chief operating officer and is a member of the global management team, will succeed Bill Thomas, who has served as global chairman and CEO since 2017. The Public Interest Oversight Board announced it is accepting applications for three vacancies on the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants, with terms beginning Jan. 1, 2027. The application period closes May 3, 2026. The vacancies include one practitioner and two nonpractitioners. More information is available here.
