On the move: CBIZ adds to leadership team

CBIZ added three new people to its leadership team; Anders named its newest partner class; Blue named five industry and service line leaders; and other firm and personnel news from across the profession.

CALIFORNIA

Martin-Hala-Ernst & Young
Hala Martin
Hala Martin has been named office managing partner of the San Francisco office of Ernst & Young, effective Jan. 2, 2026, succeeding Phillip Mazzie, who is taking on a national role serving technology, media & entertainment, and telecommunications clients. Martin is a partner in the firm's assurance practice.

Rony Rodriguez, a tax partner and national leader in REIT tax services for the commercial real estate practice of CohnReznick, has been named an LA Times Studios 2025 Commercial Real Estate Visionary.

CONNECTICUT

The Board of Trustees of the Financial Accounting Foundation, Norwalk, appointed 13 new members to the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council. (See the story.)

FLORIDA

Michael McLaughlin has joined Saltmarsh, Tampa and Orlando, as head of people. Previously, he was senior HR leader at an international law firm. Separately, Suzanne Bach, a partner and tax services leader at the firm, has been appointed a board member to the ABC Florida Gulf Coast Chapter, which offers a platform for industry leaders to advance community and business initiatives.

Danica Dilligard, an audit partner with Ernst & Young, Atlanta, has been named a Leader in Corporate Citizenship in the Board Champion Category by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

INDIANA

Courtney Watts
Courtney Watts has been promoted to partner at Kruggel Lawton CPAs, South Bend, effective January 1, 2026. She works in the fiduciary tax services practice area, and joined the firm in 2012 as an intern.

Brian Kuthy has joined Katz, Sapper & Miller, Indianapolis, as director of information security. He brings over a decade of experience in the field, most recently as information security lead at Everly Health.

Blue & Co., Carmel, appointed five firm leaders to head key industry niches and service lines: Shannon Borden, industry team leader for not-for-profits; Mike Fleetwood, service line leader for audit and assurance; Eric Jaske, for industry team leader for construction; Brad Minor, service line leader for business valuations; and Dale Skaggs, industry leader for health care.

Anders, St. Louis, named a number of new partners, effective Jan. 1: Dave Blatt, who leads the technology AI, automation, and analytics practice; Virtual CFO tax director David Danic; Virtual CFO director of innovation and automation Jake Grimm; chief growth officer Missy Kelley; virtual CFO director Jamie Nau; tax principals Lenise Nichols and Joshua Snyder; Tom Wadelton of Virtual CFO; and principal and SALT practice leader Robert Willeford.

OHIO

CBIZ Inc., Cleveland, appointed three new senior leaders: Bruce Ditman, as national leader of industries; David Fisher as vice president of artificial intelligence; and Marina Margarucci, as national Leader private client services. Ditman joins CBIZ from Chief Seconds, a professional services growth consultancy firm that he founded, while Fisher joins the firm from KPMG, where he led the Global Audit Incubation Hub and developed AI products, and Margarucci joined the firm as part of its merger with Marcum in 2024.

PENNSYLVANIA

Brown Plus, Camp Hill and Lancaster, was named the No. 3 Best Place to Work in PA in 2025 in the Midsized Company Category by Central Penn Business Journal, and the No. 7 Best Midsized Workplace in 2026 in the America's Best Workplaces Awards, presented by Best Companies Group and BridgeTower Media. This is the firm's 22nd time on the Best Places to Work list.

UNITED KINGDOM

The IFRS Foundation, London, appointed two new trustees: Joong-Kyung Choi and Yaprak Baltacioglu. Choi has served as minister of trade, industry & energy and as first vice minister of finance and economy in South Korea, and as president of the Korean Institute of CPAs, while Baltacioglu is an independent director of Deloitte Canada and Chile, and a director at MDA Space and CSA Group.

Dr. Erik Durbin has been appointed acting chief economist and director of the Office of Economic and Risk Analysis at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. (See the story.)
