CONNECTICUT

The Board of Trustees of the Financial Accounting Foundation, Norwalk, announced the Appointments Committee is seeking nominations for new members of the Private Company Council. The deadline for applications is May 29. More information can be found here.

Blake Greble

Blake Greble, a staff accountant at KPM CPAs & Advisors, Springfield, earned his CPA license.

Corporate Value Advisory, Casablanca, joined BKR International as a member firm.

NEW YORK

Patrick Gordon

Patrick Gordon was appointed chief legal officer at Carr, Riggs & Ingram, New York.

Laurence Scot was hired as a partner in not-for-profit services at Prager Metis, New York.

The New York State Society of CPAs announced that its Moynihan Scholarship Fund is accepting applications for its accounting scholarships, with a July 15 deadline, and that registration is now open for its 2025 Career Opportunities in the Accounting Profession Program.

TENNESSEE

The Tennessee Society of CPAs, Brentwood, and the American Accounting Association hosted a Principles Bootcamp on April 14, a free event that welcomed 50 accounting educators from across the state to spark student interest in the profession.
