Michael Machen was named the new managing partner at Machen McChesney, Auburn, where he has served as partner for 25 of the 29 years he's been with the firm. Machen assumes the role from Marty William, who served in the position for 14 years.

The Florida Institute of CPAs officially opened its new headquarters Feb. 8 in the Park Building at 250 S. Orange Ave. in Downtown Orlando. Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer joined FICPA president and CEO Shelly Weir, board chair Julian Dozier, and professional staff and volunteer leaders in a ceremonial ribbon cutting to mark the occasion.
