CALIFORNIA

The California Society of CPAs, Burlingame, honored eight women in the accounting profession during its 2021 Women to Watch Awards. (Read the full story.)

Jacqueline Fader and Jessica Mendiola were promoted to equity partner, and Tom Crotty was hired as practice leader of the family office practice, at Sensiba San Filippo, Pleasanton.

ILLINOIS

Chris Goodman was appointed chief marketing officer at Crowe, joining the firm as a principal and member of CEO Mark Baer’s leadership team.

LOUISIANA

William Mason

William "Ted" Mason, president and CEO at LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors, was honored with the Society of Louisiana CPAs' Life Membership Award, presented to longstanding CPAs who have serviced the profession in an outstanding way and are in or near retirement.

Tiffany Dorsa, a director in the assurance practice at Postlethwaite & Netterville, Baton Rouge, was named director of chapters of the Association of Government Accountants' National Governing Board.

Krystal Ray

Krystal Ray was hired as a human resources manager at KPM CPAs & Advisors, where she will also serve as a member of the executive administration team.

BKD CPAs & Advisors, Springfield, launched a new service, the BKD Workforce Productivity Manager, to help health care organizations assess workforce productivity.

Anders CPAs + Advisors, St. Louis, hosted its 33rd annual Hoops for Hope tournament, where 681 colleagues and clients of the firm participated in an NCAA basketball pool to support the 2021 Anders Charity of Choice, The Child Center, ultimately raising $11,500.

NEW YORK

Jonathan Herdlein

Jonathan Herdlein was hired as a tax manager and Peter Mrazik as an audit senior accountant at Lumsden & McCormick, Buffalo.

OHIO

Erica Ishida was named president and chief operating officer at Apple Growth Partners, Akron, which she joined in 2020, becoming the first female president/COO in the firm’s 77-year history.

PENNSYLVANIA

Anthony Delfiner was appointed partner-in-charge of the Philadelphia office of Marks Paneth.

TEXAS

Eric Hylton was hired as national director of compliance at Alliantgroup, Houston, which he joins after serving 30 years at the Internal Revenue Service, most recently as commissioner of the Small Business and Self-Employed Division.

VIRGINIA
