Armanino, San Ramon, announced a new service offering, tax managed services, a comprehensive outsourcing solution designed to support CFOs and their tax departments. To oversee the service, the firm hired Reema Naz.

NEW YORK

Rema Serafi
Rema Serafi was named vice chair, tax, at KPMG, New York, succeeding Greg Engel, who is retiring after four decades of service. In her new role, effective Nov. 15, 2023, she will also serve as a member of the firm's management committee, and Kevin Jackson will succeed her as national managing partner, tax.

Robert Herz, present of Robert H. Herz LLC, received the 2023 American Institute of CPAs' Gold Medal Award of Distinction for his leadership in the profession, which includes being a past chair of the Financial Accounting Standards Board from 2002 to 2010.

Gabor Kiss was hired as a partner and international tax practice leader at Grassi, New York.
