Blake Christian, tax partner at HCVT, Irvine, was named one of the Top 25 Opportunity Zone Magazine OZ Tax Specialists and OZ Influencer at the October OZ Expo Tax Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.

Grant Thornton, Chicago, named a new nonprofit organization to its Purple Paladin program, which provides funding, business advice and volunteer support. This year, GT chose Digs with Dignity, which elevates the lives of people transitioning from homelessness by designing and furnishing their homes using donated items. 

The Sales Tax Institute, Chicago, announced Nancy Steele, state and local tax coordinator at TaxOps, as the winner of the 2022 Sales Tax Nerd Award, which recognizes sales tax professionals who demonstrate a dedicated passion and commitment to the study and practice of sales tax.
