Daryl Thomas, owner of Thomas Accounting and Income Tax Service, Selma, was named the  2023 Small Business Person of the Year for Alabama by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Thomas has been a tax preparer and accountant for 25 years and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a child. He was also recently recognized by President Joe Biden for his accomplishments in his business.
