INDIANA

The Indiana CPA Society's CPA Educational Foundation awarded $24,550 in 2025-26 college and CPA exam scholarships. The new class of scholarship recipients will receive a total of $21,000: Max Carmody, graduate student, Indiana University; Adam Hernandez, freshman, Purdue University; Kyera North, junior, University of Evansville; Ryan Rakaska, junior, Indiana University Indianapolis; Guillermo Ruesga Jr., sophomore, Marian University; Riya Singh, senior, Indiana University Indianapolis; Ethan Timpe, sophomore, Indiana University; and Benjamin von Werder, junior, Purdue University. Three previous scholarship recipients have met their renewal criteria and are receiving an additional year of funding: Jordan Hes,  Indiana University Indianapolis; Alex Perry, University of Southern Indiana; and  Jessica Luna-Tovar, Marian University. Those receiving scholarships to cover exam-related costs are: Oscar Bibian, University of Indianapolis; Connor Jones, Indiana University; Ricardo Navarro, Purdue University; Loan Nguyen, Indiana University Indianapolis; and Riya Singh, Indiana University Indianapolis.

Cohen & Co., Cleveland, announced a donation commitment of $100,000 to Cleveland Guardians Charities, via the Cohen & Co. Community Foundation, in honor of Cohen & Co.'s founder Ron Cohen, who died in August 2024. The Guardians will recognize the gift in a pre-game ceremony at Progressive Field on July 18, which will include Cohen's grandson throwing out the first pitch.
