ALABAMA

Rob Shirley was hired as a partner at Aprio, Birmingham, responsible for expanding the firm’s presence in the Alabama market.

CALIFORNIA

GEORGIA

K. Scott Collins, owner of Collins/Moody + Co., Athens, was elected chair of the Georgia Society of CPAs’ board of directors for the 2018-19 fiscal year.

INDIANA

BGBC Partners, Indianapolis, announced 10 promotions and one new hire. Dean Ritz, senior director of digital reporting strategy at Workiva, Ames, was appointed chair of a data and taxonomy subcommittee of the new XBRL US State and Local Government Disclosure Modernization Working Group.
