Charles Noski (pictured) was reelected as chairman of the Financial Accounting Foundation board of trustees for an additional term ending Dec. 31, 2019. The FAF also announced the appointments of two new trustees, Mary Barth and David Lillard, Jr. (Read the full story.) Additionally, FASB assistant director Shayne Kuhaneck will serve as acting technical director for FASB, effective May 1.

Ben Garfunkel was named chief global talent officer for tax at KPMG, New York.

Peter Blessing was appointed Associate Chief Counsel, International, Office of the Chief Counsel at the Internal Revenue Service. Blessing most recently served as a managing director for Washington national tax and international tax units of KPMG, and was previously a partner, for over 25 years, with Shearman & Sterling.

Morgan Magionos was appointed managing director in the forensic accounting and advisory services practice in the forensic and litigation consulting segment at FTI Consulting.
