PKF O’Connor Davies admits seven to the partnership; ACM promotes 12; and other recent hires, promotions and personnel news from firms across the country.

ALABAMA

Warren Averett, Birmingham, promoted several employees to members of the firm. The firm advanced, in audit: Jason Alves in Panama City, Florida, Chip Hoover and Chris Newman in Birmingham; in tax: Cristy Andrews in Montgomery, David LeGrand in Birmingham and Atlanta, and Matt Walker in Destin, Florida.

CALIFORNIA

Joshua Basile was promoted to partner at White Nelson Diehl Evans, Irvine, where he has been a member since 2004 and provides tax advisory, tax preparation and review, and estate planning services.

COLORADO

Sean McDonald (pictured), in audit, and David Shellan, in tax, were admitted to partner at ACM, Denver. Additionally, the firm announced several other promotions: Kristi Allen to client accounting services director; Christine Ludwig and Scott Norquist to tax director; Jason Slavsky to tax director; Kristin Holthus to chief financial officer; Stephen Gable, Macy Ghalami and Rosie Sanchez to audit manager; Cathleen O’Brien to tax manager; and Andrei Cazan to IT manager.

DELAWARE

Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, Wilmington, promoted three professionals: Christina Bell (pictured), who has worked with the firm for 15 years, was promoted to principal; Tracy Lyons, with the firm for 29 years, to administrative services manager; and Michael Abernathy, with the firm for four years, to senior accountant. The firm also announced that Emily Schmidt, a senior accountant in the accounting and auditing department, earned her Certified Fraud Examiner certification.

FLORIDA

Jim Machen, partner emeritus of Templeton & Co., West Palm Beach, has died, the firm announced. Machen was one of the founding members of Machen Powers Disque & Boyle Chartered, along with Ray Powers, Philip Disque and J. Vince Boyle. He was the partner-in-charge of the Boca Raton office, and in 2005, Machen formed James Machen Chartered, which he combined with Templeton & Co. in January 2008.

ILLINOIS

Adam Simaga (pictured) and Brandon Wolber were named partners at Legacy Professionals, Westchester.

INDIANA

Derek Gray was promoted to director and Doug Hasler was appointed to the executive committee, at Blue & Co., Carmel.

GEORGIA

Terri Munro (pictured) was named partner at BT Wealth Management, Atlanta, where she has worked since 2013.

Stephen Harrell was promoted to partner and Hunter Smith to senior in the audit and accounting practice, at Draffin Tucker, Atlanta.

MASSACHUSETTS

Dennis Giangregorio, Shawn Huxley and Helen Schussler were promoted to director at Samet & Co., Chestnut Hill.

MINNESOTA

Leah Davis and Tara Torseth were promoted to partner at Abdo, Eick & Meyers, Edina. Davis joined the firm in 2016 and Torseth in 2005.

NEW YORK

CohnReznick, New York, announced several leadership appointments: Gary Levy as chief strategy and growth officer; Phil Mandel as chief operating officer; Cindy McLoughlin as managing partner of the consumer, hospitality and manufacturing practice; Alan Wolfson as regional managing partner of the Northeast; and Jay Levy as office managing partner of the New York City office.

Nicholas Mazis (pictured) was hired as a director in process, risk and technology solutions at EisnerAmper, New York.

PKF O’Connor Davies, New York, promoted seven people to partner and two to principal. The new partners are: Benjamin Beskovic, Scott Brown, Scott Edison, Julia Eisenhaur, Jason Fastiggi, Samantha Paris and Victor Peña; and the principals are: Anan Samara and Julie Williams.

Howard Fielstein was hired as a partner in the forensic, litigation support and valuation services practice of Grassi & Co., New York.

OHIO

John Jenkins (pictured) was named a partner at Bober Markey Fedorovich, Akron, where he has worked since 2013.

Owen Sizemore was promoted to manager at Brady Ware & Co., Dayton.

PENNSYLVANIA

Steven Merrill (pictured) was hired as a senior manager in the property and casualty insurance practice at Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz, Camp Hill.

Margaret Eldridge, a manager at SEK, Hanover, joined the York County Estate Planning Council Steering Committee. In other firm news, Scott Stouffer, a senior administrator in the retirement plan services group in the Chambersburg office, earned the Qualified 401(k) Administrator credential.

Dennis Johnson was hired as managing director of accounting and tax at Sharp Financial Group, Horsham.

Rochelle Grey was hired as a senior wealth advisor at RKL Wealth Management, Wyomissing, a subsidiary of RKL.

TENNESSEE

Charlotte Henderson (pictured) was promoted to tax partner at Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck, Memphis, where she has worked since 2008.

Jake Morris was hired as a staff auditor and Kelli Pemberton as a senior accountant at LBMC, Knoxville.

TEXAS

Todd Lisle was appointed managing partner of the Dallas, Fort Worth and Waco offices at BKD CPAs & Advisors. Lisle succeeds Tom Watson, who was appointed regional managing partner for the firm’s south region, effective June 1, 2019. Lisle was previously MP for the Oklahoma City, Enid and Tulsa offices, and began at BKD when Lisle Compton joined the firm through a 2006 merger.
