OUM & Co., San Francisco, promoted 12 people: Nathan Chu to tax supervisor; Maggie Lee to tax senior manager; Erin Diamond, Mark Manago and Elliot Shih to tax seniors; Brandon Yip to audit senior manager; and Johnson Nguyen, Thomas Orosco, Marie Turner, Isabelle Wee, Janine Wong and Carolyn Yu to audit seniors.

Hanson Borders (pictured), recently Birmingham office partner-in-charge and financial institutions group leader, transitioned into his new role as managing partner at Mauldin & Jenkins, Atlanta, where he has worked since 1989. In 2017, he was elected managing partner of the firm, effective Sept. 1, 2018. In other firm news, Mauldin & Jenkins appointed five new partners: Heather Batson in Chattanooga, Tennessee; Nicole Cunningham in Birmingham, Alabama; Derrick Cowart in Savannah, Georgia; Michael Gordon in Atlanta; and Tim Lyons in Columbia, S.C.

Jodi Mersinger was hired as a tax director at Cendrowski Corporate Advisors, Chicago.

KANSAS

Esmeralda Quintanar was promoted to associate at Lewis, Hooper & Dick, Garden City.

He brings over 35 years of experience in the accounting and business advisory profession, including stints as director of risk management for the CPA Protector Plan division of Brown & Brown, and at NAPLIA and Camico.

Laurie Peer was named president of RKL Wealth Management, a subsidiary of RKL, succeeding Sarah Young Fisher, who has led the firm since 2005 and assumed the role of president emeritus. Peer joined RKL in 1992 and previously served as executive vice present and partner.

Brittany Taylor, Brian Mallette and Tom Taranto were named principals at HBKS Wealth Advisors, Erie.

Denise Bailey, Jeremy Migliara and Thomas Self were promoted to shareholder at Elliott Davis, Greenville.

TENNESSEE

Shelton Chambers and Eric Myers were promoted to shareholders in the Chattanooga office, and Michael Koupal was promoted to shareholder in the Nashville office, of Elliott Davis.

TEXAS

Robert Allen was hired as managing director in the forensic, litigation and valuation group in the Fort Worth office of Whitley Penn, rejoining the firm and department where he previously worked from 2002 to 2008.
