Avantra soups up automation capabilities

Avantra, an artificial intelligence provider for the SAP platform, announced the release of Avantra 23, which offers enhanced automation capacities. New features include workflow automation templates — including SAP system refresh — and automated SAP security analysis. Avantra 23 is available in standard, professional and enterprise editions. While the professional edition adds the enhanced automation engine, the enterprise edition provides automation templates and Red Hat Ansible integration alongside the SAP HotNews analysis and AI predictive analytics features introduced in Avantra 21.11.

EarMark releases new CPE service for teams

EarMark, a CPE service for CPAs, released EarMark for Teams. The new service builds on the earlier EarMark Unlimited, which enabled individual subscribers to register for unlimited CPE courses throughout the year. Earmark for Teams allows the extension of the unlimited subscription to an entire firm. This means firms of all sizes can purchase bulk subscriptions for all staff and partners who require CPE credits. EarMark is offering a 20% discount on the first year of Earmark for Teams if five or more subscriptions are purchased.

Bill to acquire Finmark

Bill (formerly Bill.com) announced it has penned a formal agreement to acquire financial management software solution company Finmark. The software offers business intelligence insights for small and medium businesses, as well as automation capacities for routine processes, like cash flow management and analytics for business clients. The transaction has been approved by the boards of directors of both Finmark and Bill, and is expected to close by the end of this calendar year, subject to customary closing conditions. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

He has previously worked at Xero, Sage Software and R365. … AuditBoard, an auditing software solutions provider, announced that Evan Fitzpatrick has been named its new chief product officer to lead the product and design teams. Prior to joining AuditBoard, he spent a decade at Bain Capital as senior vice president in their portfolio group, focused on accelerating growth in the firm's portfolio of companies across a variety of industries, including technology.
