Accounting talent solutions provider CPAClub now offers technical accounting and advisory solutions as well as audit and assurance matchmaking for both private and public companies, on top of its fractional outsourced accounting. It has also re-approached how members join CPAClub. Now, companies navigate through a digital platform, select the membership tier that suits them best and choose their preferred start date. This new approach shifts the focus from traditional billable hour inputs to delivering solution outputs. Solutions are tailored to each company's needs, offering a choice in privileges, priorities, pass options and opportunities to share in rewards based on member commitment. 

ZenBusiness adds beneficial ownership filing features

Business management platform ZenBusiness announced a new Beneficial Ownership Filing service for its customers, created in response to the federal government's Corporate Transparency Act requirements. Customers fill in a questionnaire and upload relevant documents; ZenBusiness will then file the beneficial ownership information with FinCEN on the owner's behalf. They will also receive proof of submission as well as ongoing access to records. 

New hires and appointments

Subscription management and billing platform Recurly has appointed Joe Rohrlich as its new CEO. Prior to that, he had been CEO at Top Hat, a higher education engagement platform. Prior to that, Rohrlich led a range of customer and go-to-market teams at Bazaarvoice, as chief revenue officer and general manager EMEA. … Cybersecurity solutions provider Trellex appointed Yuneeb Khan as Trellix's chief financial officer. Khan will report directly to Trellix CEO, Bryan Palma. Previously, he had served as Quotient's CFO and chief operating officer.

Accounting cloud solutions provider Rightworks has been ranked as a "Leader" across six categories for managed hosting providers and earned an above-average usability score in G2's Winter 2024 Reports. In its winter 2024 report, Rightworks scored top recognition across seven G2 categories, including Grid for Managed Hosting Providers; Small-Business Grid for Managed Hosting Providers; Mid-Market Grid for Managed Hosting Providers; Americas Grid for Managed Hosting Providers; Small-Business Americas Grid for Managed Hosting Providers; and Mid-Market Americas Grid for Managed Hosting Providers. The company also won Best Usability with a 96% above-average usability score. … Tax technology company Vertex is once again a winner of IDC's SaaS Customer Satisfaction Award for Tax. The CSAT Awards, a customer satisfaction award program by IDC, recognizes top software-as-a-service vendors in each application market. … Tax compliance solutions provider Avalara has been recognized as a market leader in G2's Winter 2024 Grid for Sales Tax and VAT Compliance Software, the company's 20th consecutive quarter as a leader on the grid. To qualify for inclusion in the Sales Tax and VAT Compliance category, a product must track sales tax, VAT, GST or other rates and rules for jurisdictions relevant to a user's products or services; track and apply tax exemptions for the appropriate times, products, transactions or accounts; update rates and rules in response to policy revisions or new legislation; integrate with accounting and transaction tools so rates are communicated, stored and applied; and automate and manage returns and remittance for all jurisdictions.

M&A activity

Top 25 firm Citrin Cooperman acquired business software consulting firm and value-added reseller Mibar. The company will join Citrin Cooperman with 30 employees and more than $12 million in revenue. … Revenue operations platform Fullcast has been acquired after securing $34 million to fund the deal. Buying the firm are tech entrepreneur Ryan Westwood, who will serve as CEO, and his associates. Before joining Fullcast, Westwood co-founded and served as CEO of Simplus, which was acquired by Infosys for $250 million. Fullcast's C-suite will be filled by leaders who worked with him at Simplus. Joining Westwood as co-founders at Fullcast are chief operating officer Isaac Westwood, chief marketing officer Amy Cook and chief commercial officer Lance Evanson.
