Big Four firm EY announced Integrated Solutions, described as a cross-functional portfolio designed to help organizations tackle complex enterprise challenges and move faster from AI opportunities and pilots to measurable business outcomes. The solutions will be tailored by industry sector, leveraging EY's sector and domain expertise, and will also be supported by the ey.ai The Reimagination Engine, an AI-led system that helps clients implement AI across the business to realize value. Offerings will focus on enterprise trust, growth and M&A, productivity and technology, business operations and finance. For example, EY plans to offer an enterprise trust solution designed to deliver AI with confidence by integrating responsible AI, cybersecurity, privacy and risk management into a unified operating model; a growth solution built with Microsoft, SAP and other leading AI organizations to help companies connect their parts and service operations from end to end; and an AI-driven model that helps organizations move from proof-of-concept to production-ready, regulatory-compliant industrial intelligence.

KPMG hails AIUC-1 certification for AI

Big Four firm KPMG announced it is the first of the Big Four firms to achieve AIUC-1 certification for AI safety and governance, specifically for its aIQ Capture solution, a KPMG developed agentic AI organizational intelligence platform. The certification, provided by the Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company, indicates independent validation of security, reliability and governance controls. The platform underwent more than 900 technical tests, including for hallucinations, high-risk domain interactions, content safety, prompt injection attacks, and other scenarios intended to challenge the agent's reliability and resilience. KPMG will also join the AIUC-1 Consortium, a group of more than 250 Fortune 1000 security leaders helping shape standards for secure, reliable and accountable AI agents. 

April announces wealth management capacities using IRS tax data

Embedded tax solutions provider April added new capabilities to its Integrated Tax Platform for wealth management firms. The platform can now provide these firms with access to personalized tax planning insights, informed by client-authorized IRS tax data. By combining tax transcript data with April's proprietary, IRS-approved tax engine, firms can gain a more complete view of a client's financial picture and identify opportunities. With access to historical tax data, advisors can better understand complex financial situations and uncover planning opportunities related to events such as equity compensation, concentrated stock positions, Roth conversions and estimated tax payments. With client consent, April securely retrieves IRS tax data and processes it through the company's tax engine. Firms can access tax data and planning insights directly within their existing software and advisor workflows.

Accounting ERP provider Sage announced new AI-powered financial controls plus connected reporting capabilities and other industry-specific innovations. Anomaly Detection for AP Automation, generally available globally for Sage Intacct AP Automation customers,  helps finance teams identify potential invoice anomalies by using AI to detect invoices received from unrecognized vendor email addresses, allowing administrators to review and block suspicious senders before payment. Sage Intacct Lending Management enables lending organizations to manage the full loan lifecycle within a single financial management platform by supporting loan origination through to payoff while automating interest calculations and borrower statements. Smart Reporting for Excel, available through early adopter programs in the U.S. and U.K., lets finance teams work with Sage Intacct reporting structures directly in Excel, without recreating reports or relying on manual exports, as connected financial data can be refreshed as needed, while Sage Intacct permissions and access controls are maintained. Enhanced Billing Groups in Order Entry supports organizations in managing complex billing processes through on-demand invoice generation, expanded billing workflows,and draft invoice reviews. Customer Payments Portal, available through a global early adopter program, gives organizations greater flexibility over how customers pay, with a self-service experience that supports multiple payment providers and payment methods within Sage Intacct. Construction Billing and Retainage Enhancements now sports automate retainage calculations to provide greater flexibility across contract billing workflows. Finally, a Craftable connection automatically synchronizes purchasing, sales and inventory data with Sage Intacct.

Financial operations solutions provider Vena announced the general availability of Vena Financial Consolidation, an Excel-native solution built for organizations managing increasingly complex multi-entity structures, sophisticated ownership models, multiple currencies and demanding reporting requirements. The solution automates and governs complex consolidation processes, including intercompany matching and eliminations, multicurrency translation, ownership and equity structures and top-side adjustments. Workflow, versioning, period locking, entity-level security, audit history and native data provenance provide a traceable record of how consolidated results were produced. Future Vena Omega capabilities, strengthened by technology and expertise from Vena's recent acquisition of Morpheo AI, are expected to add cumulative business context over time, enabling increasingly relevant AI experiences across close, reporting, planning and decision-making. 

AuditFile adds wide range of Apple-native apps

Agentic AI audit platform AuditFile announced the availability of native apps for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro. From an iPhone or iPad, auditors can manage AI agents, follow their progress, respond when an agent needs more information, and review the resulting work. Push notifications alert the auditor when an agent has paused with a question or completed work that is ready for review. The auditor can approve, return or escalate the output without waiting to get back to a laptop. The apps also bring AuditFile's day-to-day engagement features into the field. Auditors can browse clients, engagements, audit areas and procedures; prepare, review or mark procedures as not applicable; read and resolve review comments; capture evidence; view and annotate workpapers; and record time. Offline access supports fieldwork in warehouses, basements, airplanes and other places where an internet connection may be unreliable. Apple Watch provides alerts when a colleague or AI agent needs attention and lets users triage a request before continuing on iPhone. On Apple Vision Pro, auditors can place agent activity alongside the trial balance, workpapers and supporting documents in a spatial workspace. AuditFile also launched an app for Apple TV, turning the television into a status dashboard. Teams have a bird's-eye view of open engagements, team presence, firm activity and active agent runs. AuditFile's apps for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro are now available on the App Store and are included with an AuditFile subscription.

Trust-Rails touts two-phase settlement system mirroring IRS procedure

Retirement account-focused technology service provider TrustRails is now offering a two-phase settlement system that mirrors the IRS's proposed five-step electronic rollover procedure. This system, operational since spring 2026, offers a digital solution that coordinates directly between retirement plans in place of paper check and manual conformation-dependent processes. The Trust-Rails system boasts several key features, including dual confirmation before fund transfers, a unique identifier for secure communications, and an audit trail with encrypted data. These attributes ensure robust security and transparency throughout the process. Trust-Rails offers this new architecture as both an API white-labeled option and a full user interface workflow tool, catering to diverse operational needs.

Big Four firm Deloitte announced Chris Puglia as its first chief products officer. In this newly created role, Puglia will guide the end-to-end vision, commercialization and continuous advancement of Deloitte Tax's technology offerings. Puglia currently leads Deloitte Tax's East Region where he advises C-suite clients as they navigate mergers and acquisitions, cross-border tax and enterprise-wide tax transformation. Puglia holds an MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business, and a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut. … Business technology advisor and solutions provider Net at Work announced that Paul Clayton has joined the company as NetSuite Practice Director. Clayton will leverage Net at Work's NetSuite team to deliver cloud-based, AI-driven ERP solutions, helping clients maximize their NetSuite investments through the company's strategic partners and alliances. Clayton has more than 20 years of experience in acquiring, building and leading technology organizations and aligning NetSuite technology with finance and operations transformation across the manufacturing, wholesale distribution and professional services industries. Before joining Net at Work, he held roles as partner, digital services, at Citrin Cooperman and vice president, consulting services, at FMT Consultants.

Partnerships, integrations and M&A

Lifecycle management solutions provider Baseware has signed a binding agreement to acquire payment security solutions provider Trustpair. The proposed acquisition will deliver a complete end-to-end invoice-to-pay process, with Basware confirming an invoice is legitimate and approved, and Trustpair confirming the payment has reached the intended supplier. The proposed acquisition, expected to be completed later this year, will also build on Basware's 2023–2025 acquisitions of Glantus, AP Matching, and Redmap. It will extend Basware's Invoice Lifecycle Management into payment fraud prevention, complementing the invoice fraud and duplicate-detection capabilities already built into the platform. Trustpair will continue with its own team and platform; Trustpair's existing investors and shareholders, including Axeleo Capital, Breega and Tikehau Capital, will also continue to support the company's next phase of growth. … Enterprise AI implementation solutions provider Superglue announced it is available on the Sage Intacct Marketplace to assist users in implementing Sage solutions.
