AuditDashboard launches spring release

AuditDashboard, an accounting workflow solutions provider, debuted its spring release with new features and capacities. One is Insights by AuditDashboard, which allows users to visualize active engagements on a timeline, along with key data points from an engagement. Insights are available, either within the app or through a subscription to the company's Data Connectivity Solutions. The new release also has more options for firms to promote their brand, including the ability to name their own portals, recognizing that a name like AuditDashboard might give pause to professionals in the tax or advisory fields. Firms can now name their portal whatever they want, e.g. "The [firm name] Dashboard." And notification emails can come from "The [firm name] Dashboard" or a more formal legal name like "firm name LLP]."

ShareFile releases ShareFile for Accounting

Client collaboration solutions provider ShareFile released a new product, ShareFile for Accounting. The software allows for custom-branded portals; auto-filled templates for documents like engagement letters; unlimited e-signature functionality with knowledge-based authentication to expedite repetitive document preparation; optimized PBC list processes; automated workflows; and secure document management and collaboration.

Diligent launches audit reporting dashboard

Diligent Corporation, a provider of SaaS governance solutions, introduced Board Reporting for Audit, which consolidates internal audit data into one dashboard to monitor controls, track audit plan progress and surface insights to help boards drive the organization forward. Key features include audit plan and control testing progress to determine how much planned work has been completed, is in progress or has yet to be started; open high and critical issues, highlighting any deficiencies or weaknesses, the impact of those deficiencies on the organization, and remediation status; and key performance metrics year over year, identifying trends or patterns.

RCR releases entity selection tool

Accounting software provider RCR Reports released its Entity Selection Planning Tool to support accounting and tax professionals in the process of choosing the appropriate entity type for their business clients based on their ownership structure, performance and goals. The Entity Selection Planning Tool enables users to compare pass-through entities (such as partnerships and LLCs) and sole proprietorships to an S corp based on the tax implications associated with each one for a business. The tool also allows users to assess requirements regarding owner pay, reporting, recordkeeping and more. Furthermore, professionals can now input client data to automatically create a report showing the best entity type over the next 10 years. Profit and owner compensation projections can also be adjusted to further finetune the entity analysis.
