Automated invoice processing platform Vic.ai announced it is expanding into the payments arena with the launch of Vic.ai Payments, which offers a single workflow for customers to pay invoices in one click, to any vendor, however they prefer — via check, ACH and so on — all within Vic.ai's integrated platform. Payments is available now in the U.S. Vic.ai will, on September 7 at 2 p.m. EST, provide a demo and platform updates.

IMA launches new cybersecurity certificate

In response to recent cyberattacks and new rules from the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Institute of Management Accountants released a new certificate program focused on cybersecurity and data practices in the accounting and finance profession. The four-course IMA Cybersecurity and Data Practices Certificate provides instruction on topics clarifying the management accountant's role in cybersecurity; risk assessment and mitigation strategies essential to the development of secure systems; legal considerations needed to maximize regulatory compliance; and insight into effective system development techniques.

Expensify adds enhanced insights and custom reporting

Expense reporting software provider Expensify announced the release of enhanced insights and custom reporting functionality, built with expert input from top accounting leaders. The new Insights feature allows any member to monitor all aspects of company spend across categories such as employees, projects, departments, and subsidiaries. In addition to a visual reporting dashboard,  Expensify also introduced a Custom Reports feature, where trained admins can build the reports they need to understand, analyze and summarize their companies' spend. The Insights and Custom Reporting features are now accessible for all current Expensify customers.

Xactly launches AI co-pilot

Xactly
Xactly, a revenue solutions provider, announced the release of its Xactly AI Copilot engine. Backed by 18 years of proprietary and empirical performance data, the engine can generate new data and insights based on its training set. It also offers streamlined workflow capacities, integration with Xactly's current intelligent revenue platform, a unified dashboard, and contextual insight presentation. Meanwhile, Xactly AI Copilot for compensation is entering the pilot phase soon, and it will expand to Xactly's other key revenue processes, including forecasting and planning, enabling finance and operations leaders to effectively model go-to-market strategies.

CPA.com announced the keynote speakers for its 2023 Digital CPA conference, which will take place at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas Dec. 3-6, 2023 (with options for virtual attendance). They include innovation expert and futuris Pascal Finette, who will discuss the impact generative AI will have on the accounting profession and lead an experiential roundtable exercise where attendees can map out their own artificial intelligence use cases; Cassie Kozyrkov, chief decision scientist at Google, will explore how to use data and artificial intelligence to drive transformative decision-making; Dr. James Johnson, a professor of strategy and entrepreneurship at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School, who will demonstrate how shifting demographics are creating major changes in the business world and how to navigate their effects to recruit and retain top talent; Okorie Ramsey, chair of the AICPA and Association of International Certified Professional Accountants; and Lindsay Stevenson, chief transformation officer at Top 100 Firm BPM. Features include customizable payment reminders and reporting capabilities, electronic bill presentment and payment processing, and digital options such as PayPal, Venmo, and Pay by Text.
