Xero debuts new Square integration, retires old one

One of Xero’s app partners, Amaka, has built a new Square integration with a number of new features including the ability to reconcile Square sales in Xero, capture point-of-sale transactions, and accept Square payments on Xero invoices. As a consequence of the new integration, Xero will no longer support the current integration, and will retire it on Nov. 30, 2021. For data to flow without interruption, Xero advises users to make the switch to the new integration before this date.

Vertex’ indirect tax solution is certified by Acumatica

Vertex’s Cloud Indirect Tax solution has achieved “fulfilled by Acumatica” status, a certification awarded to software that accurately integrates with the current release of the ERP system and provides a level of assurance to the customer that it will perform correctly. Companies like Vertex that achieve this distinction have Acumatica’s seal of approval to serve their customer base.

Vertex provides tax technology, and Acumatica provides enterprise resource planning software for small to midsized businesses.

Windham Brannon adopts Anduin’s AI tech

Atlanta-based firm Windham Brannon has adopted Anduin into its practice to streamline billing and practice management operations. Anduin makes use of artificial intelligence to help firms collect payments and free up staff and partners for higher-value tasks.

The firm reports a 41% increase in overall collections, year over year, with 25% of clients paying for more than one invoice, and 2.5 times the number of invoices paid within seven days versus prior months since it began using Anduin.
