A Call to.....Nominations

With all due deference to Ernest, this isn't quite a call to arms, butI would be totally remiss if I didn't clue you in to something quite exciting. Or, as Ed Sullivan would say, "We've got a RE-A-LL-Y big show tonight."

Actually, CPA Wealth Provider, getting ready to enter the fourth year of its existence, has embarked on its First Annual Financial Planning Awards.

Nominations are now open for this award in the following three categories:

  • CPA/Financial Planning Firms
  • Broker/Dealers
  • Financial Planning Software Vendors

Winners will be those firms or companies that have taken the lead through innovation, efficiency, initiative, or growth in the financial planning area.
The winners will be profiled in the January 2004 issue of CPA Wealth Provider and copies of that issue will be included with the January issues of Accounting Today, Accounting Technology, and Practical Accountant, as well as being featured on WebCPA.com. That's quite a distribution package.

The judges are Bill Carlino, editor-in-chief of Accounting Today, Robert Scott editor-in-chief of Accounting Technology, Howard Wolosky, associate publisher of Practical Accountant, and yours truly.

I need to receive nominations no later than November 15 (this year, of course), because the issue goes to press on December 1.

Send nominations or even questions, if you have them, to me by e-mail, regular mail, or fax, as follows:

No specific forms to fill out. In fact, all you need do is to tell me what category you are entering and describe in a paragraph or so how you have taken the lead through innovation, efficiency, initiative, or growth in the financial planning area.

What could be simpler? Do it today, okay?
