Abdo, Eick & Meyers Appoints New Partner

Christine Powers has been promoted to partner at Abdo, Eick & Meyers LLP. Her new role will start on July 1, 2013.

“Chris has been and continues to be an integral part of the success of our firm helping build and shape who we are today,” managing partner Steve McDonald said in a statement.  “It's an honor and a privilege for all of us who voted Chris into our partnership. We know how hard Chris has worked and it is very rewarding to see the success she has received as a result of that effort.  We look forward to Chris bringing her leadership to the partner group and helping lead and challenge us to reach our firm goals.”

Powers joined Abdo, Eick & Meyers in 1997 and specialize in working with businesses and nonprofits for tax accounting and consulting services. She also consults on software issues, tax advice, cash flow management, budgeting and planning.

Powers is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato with degrees in accounting and business administration.  She is also a member of the Minnesota State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the AICPA.  Powers has also recently been named the recipient of the Greater Mankato Area United Way “Volunteer of the Year” award.
