ACCA announces December 2017 exam results
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants announced on Monday that the pass rates from its December 2017 exam sitting saw another general uptick, with 5,548 students around the world ultimately completing their final exams.
Among the standout figures of the December 2017 sitting, U.K. students completing the ACCA Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician Apprenticeship had a 100 percent pass rate, with two-thirds of students also receiving distinction on their exams.
“We’re delighted with the improvement in many pass rates at the December 2017 sitting," stated Alan Hatfield, executive director of strategy and development at the ACCA. "The Essentials exams pass rates in particular were strong, especially that of P3 Business Analysis. ACCA is currently carrying out extensive Train the Trainer sessions across the world in preparation for the Strategic Business Leader study exam being introduced later this year. Many existing P3 tutors have been attending these sessions, enabling ACCA to further connect with markets and drive global standards.”
A total of 139,039 students sat for the December exam, with 190,249 exams taken in all. Last year was also notable for being the second year the association held four exam sessions, featuring more than 19,500 students going on to achieve ACCA affiliate status.
"ACCA proudly supports its students, who continue to benefit from increased flexibility to manage their studies proactively," added Hatfield. "We’re committed to delivering a qualification to shape the future of global accountancy, giving students the essential skills needed to be the professional and ethical accountants of the future."
