Accounting Today Spearheads SourceMedia’s Education & Training Business

SourceMedia, Accounting Today’s publisher and a media company serving the financial services industry, has launched a professional education and training business to provide digital training to professionals and companies.

Accounting Today is the first SourceMedia brand that will be the focus of this effort, through the creation of the Accounting Today Institute launching later this fall. The Institute will offer CPAs and other professionals a way to earn CPE credit and engage in other digital learning tools such as web seminars on hot topics and emerging trends.

Robert Gulick, senior vice president and managing director of education and training, has been hired to lead the business. He has worked for other leading training organizations that include the American Management Association, FINRA and Prentice-Hall.

“Creating a portfolio of education and training programs while fully-leveraging SourceMedia’s strong publishing content in accounting, banking, capital markets, technology and professional services is a centerpiece of our mission,” Gulick said. “SourceMedia’s editorial talent, brand recognition and loyal subscriber bases give us a significant advantage in delivering relevant training with immediacy and practical value. We are also committed to creating a social community environment for our students, where they will be able to interact, network and share information with their peers and other professionals.”
