AccuFund updates include a bot

AccuFund, which makes nonprofit accounting and financial reporting software, has released the newest version of its Accounting Suite, version 6.02. The update includes a bot that automates certain processes specified by the user, a move in step with the major boom in machine learning and artificial intelligence in the accounting software market.

AccuBot, as the piece of automation programming is called, allows accountants to link disconnected processes together and automate steps of conditional processes within AccuFund. For instance, accountants can set up the program to notify other users when specific tasks are done, thresholds are met, or actions are completed, as well as automatically create an invoice when a task or work order has been completed.

Version 6.2 also contains new business rules, which tailors AccuFund to an organization’s specific business processes, internal controls and workflows within all offices, including accounting departments. Users can set up an unlimited number of business rules; according to AccuFund, popular requests include customizing vendor onboarding processes and adhering to unique posting rules.

Also new is the programs module, which creates a repository for non-accounting information within AccuFund. This enables tracking of key information such as important dates (such as start dates and deadlines), tasks, documents and billing rules.

Finally, AccuFund has added a leave management module through which employees can request leave, assets or other resources defined by their organization such as conference rooms and vehicles, and their requests will be automatically routed to approvers. Customers can create approval levels to route new or different kinds of leave or resource requests, and/or add the requests to their existing approval tree for timesheets.

“We listen to our customers and prospects and continually work to develop and implement new features and modules that make them more successful. It's important in today's ever-changing software landscape that our clients and prospects know we are always working to improve the financial/ERP system they rely on,” said Ian Scotland, general manager and vice president of AccuFund, in a statement. “In addition to new modules, thus far in 2018 we have made over 230 enhancements and upgrades to our system.”

Version 6.02 of the AccuFund Accounting Suite also offers new features and enhancements to the following modules: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Receipts, Client Accounting, Employee Portal, Financial Reports, General Ledger, Grants, Human Resources, Payment Portal, Payroll, Representative Payee, Requisitions and Task Scheduler.

The software is available licensed as both cloud (SaaS) and on-premise, and in Standard and Professional editions, which add additional security. For more information, visit www.accufund.com.
