ACFE Elects Three to Regents Board

Austin, Texas (Jan. 7, 2004) -- The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, a 28,000-member group here, elected a trio of CFEs to its Regents Board -- Bruce A. Dean, JD, CFE, CPP; Mary-Jo Kranacher, MBA, CFE, CPA; and Joseph A. Spinelli, JD, CFE.

Dean, is assistant district attorney and chief of a unit that investigates and prosecutes organized crime, public corruption and computer crime in Boston. He has been a prosecutor for 10 years.

Kranacher is an assistant professor at York College, part of the City University of New York. She serves as the elected vice chair of the Faculty Senators, which is responsible for ethical issues, curriculum, academic achievements, student discipline and fraud-related matters.

Spinelli a former New York State inspector general and special agent at the FBI, is a principal at Big Four firm KPMG and the national partner-in-charge for Integrity Advisory Services and the office coordinating partner of the New York office.

Their terms begin in February.
