ADP Offers Tax Locator for New Hires

ADP has introduced a new system that helps companies quickly find the correct local tax information for newly hired or transferred employees.

The ADP Tax Locator aims to save time for payroll, tax and human resources professionals, while reducing the penalties and interest a business can incur if it inaccurately identifies an employee’s taxes.

When employers add new or transferred employees from the United States or one of its territories to their payroll systems, they can spend considerable time researching and identifying the appropriate local tax jurisdiction names and rates for each individual. With the ADP Tax Locator, accessible on ADP’s tax website for clients, an employer simply needs to enter an employee’s home and work addresses, and the new locator assists in identifying all of the relevant local tax codes, ADP codes, jurisdiction names and collector names within seconds. The ADP Tax Locator’s four tabs allow users to look up the appropriate tax information and keep a history of past addresses for each employee.

ADP recently completed a 20-company pilot program for its new offering. For more information, visit www.ADP.com.
