AffiniPay rebrands to 8am, unifies products under one brand

The online payments solutions provider formerly known as Affinipay has rebranded itself as 8am to reflect the company's evolution into a unified business platform for professionals.

With the new name has come a move to bring all the company's software solutions together, integrated into a singular brand.

"Our customers choose us because they trust us to help them thrive in a rapidly changing world," said Dru Armstrong, chief executive officer, of 8am. "Our new brand brings our solutions together under one promise: to make it easier for professionals to run their firms with confidence, deliver world-class outcomes for their clients, and grow for the long term. We are excited to step forward with a unified story that reflects who we are today and where we are headed in the future."

Previously, the company housed a number of products under different brands: CPACharge for accountants; MyCase, LawPay, CASEPeer and Docketwise for lawyers; AffiniPay for Associations; and the service firm-oriented ClientPay. Now they have all been brought under the single 8am umbrella via a redesigned interface that visually connects all of the company's solutions. Over time, this will expand into a fully cohesive platform experience for customers.

"Innovation has always been at the heart of what we do, and this next chapter builds on that legacy," said Leslie Witt, chief product officer at 8am. "We're redesigning how people engage with our products to make every interaction smarter, more seamless, and more human—setting the stage for an even more connected and intuitive experience."

News of the rebranding comes just a few months after CPACharge, one of the company's product lines, announced a new partnership with SafeSend, part of Thomson Reuters. The new partnership will enable tax and accounting firms to get paid as clients receive their tax returns, as well as allow firms to embed CPACharge directly into the workflow for SafeSend One, SafeSend's flagship product.
