App of the Week

If you've ever wanted Microsoft Office applications on your iPhone or iPad you can have them through CloudOn, an app the gives you the nearly full experience.

Many iPhone and iPad users were at one point waiting for an official Microsoft Office integration with the devices, however since that may not likely see the light of day, this is app is the closest option.

The app also includes Adobe PDF Reader and File Viewer to check out PDFs and other image files and includes links to Box, Dropbox, Google Drive and SkyDrive accounts.

Essentially, CloudOn allows users to use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on iPhones and iPads to create, review and edit documents. You can also display, edit or create charts, change formatting, spell check, and insert comments into any Word, Excel or PowerPoint files.

Like many apps, practitioners have stated not to expect full functionality just yet as it still cannot save files to the iPad or print, though they can be emailed. It is free in the App Store though Pro versions are available for a fee.
