App of the Week

To navigate around the increasingly mobile office, which is often spent in the car, practitioners are taking to the Scout GPS navigation travel app for Android and Apple devices.

This award-winning app offers voice guided directions and tips on what is nearby for food, gas, and even entertainment.

Scout offers a dashboard home screen, with a daily toolbar that maps your current location, commute times, local weather, and access to local information. In addition the app has traffic reports; ability to share ETA with clients; one-tap discovery for local rest stops or even the cheapest gas; voice command for hands-free use; and updated 2-D and 3-D maps.

The latest version, released earlier this month, features improvements to the dashboard home screen that allow users to adjust the map to the zoom level you want. There’s also street level traffic views and the ability to find local weekend events.

Scout is available for free download in Google Play and Apple App stores. Pro versions are available for monthly and annual fees.
