App of the Week

There are numerous note taking apps on the market today, but practitioners are increasingly enjoying Penultimate which offers users the experience of taking written notes directly on their iPads.

This popular app comes from the makers of Evernote and allows users to write and share notes without having to type them, as well as create and share sketches.

The app offers photorealistic paper styles and the ability to import any image to create your own personalized paper. The inking technology produces clear pen strokes and the automatic Wrist Protection mode prevents stray marks from appearing on a page for writers of all grips.
Users can also store your Penultimate notes in notebooks, separated by topic, project, or category. Every Penultimate note is synced to an Evernote account automatically, where users can view, search and share them across all of their devices.

The latest version of Penultimate has been updated with Zoom, Drift, and Smart Wrist Protection features; as well as, support for the new Jot Script Evernote Edition stylus.

Users of Penultimate 5.0 offers users the ability to pinch to zoom in and write anywhere on the page; swipe with two fingers to move around, and flick left with two fingers to move to a new line; automatically scroll as they write while zoomed in; improved wrist protection to support any writing style; and use the new Jot Script Evernote Edition stylus by Adonit.

Penultimate is currently free in the iTunes store.
