AuditWatch President Moves to Watkins Meegan

Joseph P. "Bo" Fitzpatrick has left his position running AuditWatch to join CPA firm Watkins, Meegan, Drury & Co. as director of business development and strategic planning.

Fitzpatrick was president and COO of the audit training and consulting firm when it was acquired last November by Thomson Tax & Accounting (see TTA Acquires AuditWatch).

At AuditWatch, he handled strategic planning, recruiting and retaining staff, business development, delivering presentations to various accounting groups, and oversight of business operations. Prior to AuditWatch, he was an audit senior manager at Ernst & Young, in addition to serving as director of finance for two companies.

"Being back in public accounting is a great feeling," said Fitzpatrick in a statement. "I am grateful to have been able to land such a position with a Top 100 firm as well respected, diversified and fun as Watkins Meegan."

Fitzpatrick was named one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting by Accounting Today in 2004. Watkins Meegan ranked 73rd on Accounting Today's 2008 list of the Top 100 Firms.
