Baker Newman Noyes Elects Co-Founder as MP

IMGCAP(1)]Ellie Baker, co-founder of Baker Newman Noyes, has been selected as the firm's new managing principal. Baker succeeds Charlie Hahn, who recently accepted a chief financial officer position at a company based in Maine.

In 1938, Baker’s grandfather, Richard Baker, founded the accounting firm, Baker & Adam, in Portland, Maine. Ellie Baker built upon that legacy when she co-founded Baker Newman Noyes in 1995. Over the years, Baker served as vice chairman and principal. “I look forward to working with everyone in this new role and continuing our legacy of success,” Baker said in a statement.

Baker, who is a CPA, serves in leadership roles for a number of community organizations, including Maine Public Broadcasting Network, the University of Maine Board of Trustees, the Portland Symphony Orchestra Board of Trustees, and the UMaine School of Law Foundation, among others.
