Mark Audi has joined Baker Newman Noyes in the Boston practice as principal-in-charge.

“Baker Newman Noyes has a reputation for teamwork, collaboration, and client excellence in Boston and throughout New England,” Audi said in a statement. “I was drawn to their service approach as well as the work-life balance experienced by its professionals. I look forward to the opportunities ahead for the firm and to be a part of their strategic growth in Massachusetts.”

“Mark brings a wealth of experience to our practice in audit and accounting, as well as the Boston and Massachusetts markets. We are excited to welcome him into our firm,” Baker Newman Noyes’ managing principal Eleanor Baker said in a statement.

“In addition to his audit and accounting background, Mark also provides a unique perspective in emerging verticals, such as retail, ecommerce, consumer product industries and the medical device market,” director of audit services Carl Chatto noted. “Our Massachusetts practice has grown by close to 45 percent since 2011. As we continue to expand, his insight and expertise will be valuable for our clients.”

Prior to joining the firm, Audi worked as assurance services senior manager at a Big 4 firm in Boston. Audi earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting, cum laude, from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management. Originally from Albany, New York, Audi now resides in Hanover, Massachusetts. He has more than 15 years of experience with convertible debt instruments, sale-leaseback transactions, hedge transactions, impairment considerations, reporting and operating segments, acquisitions and challenging consolidation models.
