BDO Consulting Adds Dr. Bithoney as Managing Director, Chief Physician Executive

Dr. William "Bill" Bithoney has joined BDO USA LLP’s BDO Consulting as chief physician executive and managing director.

Dr. Bithoney will work with Dr. David Friend to co-lead Clinical Strategy for the firm’s Health Care Advisory practice and The BDO Center for Healthcare Excellence & Innovation.

Prior to BDO, Dr. Bithoney worked at Harvard Medical School, Boston Children’s Hospital and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital for roughly 20 years. He was also an associate professor of Pediatrics and Chief of General Pediatrics and Primary Care at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Bithoney is specialized in efficient clinical and hospital management, as well as in the development of ACOs. He has also developed managed care and academic strategies, managed a Medicare Advantage ACO, and developed self-sustaining models for performance and quality improvement, utilization review, utilization management and research strategies. In addition, Dr. Bithoney co-founded MediVector Pharmaceuticals, a contract research company that develops new drug therapies and medical devices.

Dr. Bithoney completed his bachelor’s degree at Harvard College, graduating magna cum laude, and received his medical degree and postgraduate training at Yale University
