BDO’s Consulting Practice Adds New Managing Director

BDO USA’s consulting division selected Maryellen Sebold to serve as managing director in its West Coast litigation and fraud investigation practice.

Sebold, who is a CPA in California and New York, will work out of the firm’s Los Angeles office where she will lead the team on forensic accounting, economic damages consulting, bankruptcy and business restructuring matters.

“BDO Consulting has an excellent track record for executing large and complex matters of prominence in the market,” Sebold said in a statement. “I’m thrilled to bring my diverse background to this collegial team, allowing me to draw upon the strength of BDO’s reputation for client service, depth of accounting resources and strong international presence to best serve my clients.”

Sebold is an active member of the AICPA and has served as president of the Board of Trustees of the CalCPA Education Foundation. She has also been actively involved in various programs for the California Society of CPAs in an effort to promote the advancement of women in the accounting profession.
