BeachFleischman Merges in Cervantes CPA Firm

BeachFleischman PC has merged in Cervantes CPA Firm, P.C., a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based firm, effective Jan. 1, 2016.

Cervantes’ employees, including one shareholder and four staff members, have relocated to BeachFleischman's Phoenix office.

The combination increases BeachFleischman's Phoenix-based employee count to 29 and its firm-wide employee count to 148 client service and administrative professionals, including 22 shareholders and 70 CPAs.

“We are pleased to announce this merger,” said BeachFleischman CEO Marc Fleischman in a statement. “Our firms complement each other well. From client service philosophy to our commitment to technology, we share many attributes and core values. The merger also brings depth to BeachFleischman's ability to serve financial and professional practices, which is one of the firm's core industry segments.”

The merger enhances BeachFleischman's ability to provide high-value, professional accounting and consulting services delivered through the firm's Strategic Operations & Advisory Resources, or SOAR, practice, which the firm launched last year. SOAR offers operations consulting and outsourcing options for business owners who need assistance with internal accounting, CFO, human resources, strategic and succession planning, and other management consulting services.

“From a practice perspective, the merger enables us to provide our clients with the depth of expanded services and expertise of a large regional firm, while keeping the service-minded approach our clients have come to expect from a local firm,” said Joy Cervantes, managing shareholder of Cervantes CPA Firm. “It's really the best of both worlds.”

BeachFleischman, based in Tucson, ranked 10th on Accounting Today’s Regional Leaders list for the Top Firms in the Southwest, with $21.83 million in annual revenue.
