Bennett Thrasher hikes the Appalachian Trail for charity

Top 100 Firm Bennett Thrasher recently announced that it will be hiking the Appalachian Trail this summer for charity. All proceeds from the Atlanta firm's summer activity will go towards GiGi’s Play House, a nonprofit supporting individuals with Down syndrome.

The program, dubbed “BT at the AT,” kicked off May 10 and will continue into late August. Through the nine scheduled hikes, the firm will complete the whole section of the Trail in Georgia.

All levels of staff are expected to participate, with the trip also doubling as a chance for team-building outside the office, a part of the firm's promise to “provide professional fellowship and prosperity for everyone in the firm,” per their website.

Gigi’s Playhouse looks to provide free therapeutic programming, resources and support to families of individuals with T21/Trisomy 21/Down syndrome. Bennett Thrasher's hike this summer will directly benefit GiGi's second location in Atlanta, currently being built.
