Berberich Trahan acquires Topeka office of CBIZ MHM

Berberich Trahan & Co. has acquired the Topeka, Kansas, offices of CBIZ MHM LLC and its affiliated CPA firm Mayer Hoffman McCann, effective Jan. 1, 2019.

As a result of the deal, the combined firm will have more than 50 employees. BT&Co. plans to keep both its existing Topeka offices and the one it’s acquiring from CBIZ MHM open until the fall and then relocate to a larger office space. The business will operate under the name Berberich Trahan & Co., P.A.

CBIZ, based in Cleveland, is a publicly traded company that runs the CBIZ MHM accounting firm and is affiliated with the auditing firm Mayer Hoffman McCann in an alternative practice arrangement.
