Bill.com adds new features

Billing and payments solution provider Bill.com announced a number of new features and enhancements, including improved approval workflows, fraud and error prevention, heightened security and authorization, and expanded payment options.

One noteworthy new feature is Bill.com Pay By Card, which gives users the ability to pay vendors with a credit or debit card, even if the vendor doesn’t accept those cards.

Among the new features are:

  • Enhanced approval policies: Bill.com has expanded the criteria by which approvals can be routed, including by vendor, location, department and general ledger account.
  • Extra approvals: The “dual control” feature lets companies require a second approval for important changes, like adding vendor bank accounts.
  • Single sign-on: The SSO feature lets business give authorized users secure access to their Bill.com account. It can be enabled through a number of different identity providers.
  • Client group names: Different entities can now be rolled up under a single client group, making it easier to view, sort and assign team members to client accounts.

Bill.com also noted that in early 2022, it would be adding custom fields to Sage Intacct to let users like nonprofits with specific needs add the fields they need to reports and dashboards.
“Now more than ever, businesses are in need of a comprehensive solution that will help them to easily control their back-office, providing real-time insight and better management of their cash flow,” said Bill.com chief experience officer Bora Chung in a statement. “We’re excited that these product features will further support our vision to be the go-to mission-critical financial operations tool for small and midsize businesses and accountants.”
