Brad Shaw has been appointed managing director at the Top 100 Firm Blue & Co. LLC.
As managing director, Shaw’s top priorities will be strategic direction for the firm, partner accountability, talent acquisition, and mergers and acquisitions oversight. He will continue to work closely with the firm’s executive committee along with the entire director group.
“We’re very excited about the evolution of Blue’s governance to this current structure,” Shaw stated. “Having a full-time managing director will help us focus on important strategic initiatives that will support the continued growth and success of our firm, our valued clients and the many professionals who work to serve clients.”
Shaw’s experience includes over 27 years serving Blue & Co.’s health care clients and two years managing the health care audit practice of a national firm in Chicago. Shaw was chairman of Blue’s executive committee for the past four years and director-in-charge of the Columbus, Ohio office since it opened in 1999.
Prior to joining Blue’s executive committee, Shaw was chairman of the firm’s audit, accounting and quality control committee. His specific expertise in the health care arena includes financial reporting, reimbursement and strategic consulting.
Shaw is a former member of the board of directors of Tri-County Center Inc., Southlake Center for Mental Health Inc., Central Ohio Mental Health Center, the Indiana Council of Community Mental Health Centers Inc. and the Marian University M-Club. He is also an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
For nearly 20 years, Blue & Co. has been governed by a three-member Executive Committee versus the traditional managing partner structure. Blue & Co. currently has 38 directors (partners) and more than 315 employees serving clients in eight offices.
